Hills Brumbies has an almost totally new squad this year with only 5 players backing up from 2011. Lost 2 to SAL, 2 to U12 Premier Youth Girls and a few more to other sports. The new squad have been playing well together. Have been fortunate to have played 5 trial games which has helped the boys tremendously. Looking forward to the season proper.
Yep, looking forward to it. No surprise with the two girls who went to U 12 girls premier league. TF is one girl I have known and watched for years from the Winsto days , and she is a terrific player (and her dad was a great coach over at Winsto , on ya Paul ). So many of those kids from the Roo Ball Red team in 8's have gone on to better things - SAL (2) , Girl premier league (1) Brumbies (2) as well.... and 3 are now at Baulko......
Hoping our Baulko boys can go one better than last year, where we lost the GF to Castle Hill ! I see the main threats as the Brumbies, Auburn and of course Castle Hill United. Pendle look like a good team from what I have seen, and Rouse Hill should still be strong even though they lost some players.

The rumour I heard , they had 4 players go to SAL and were struggling to get replacements. So now all clubs get 2 byes. I wonder why they didnt just promote another club to take their place? Probably the time frame is too short for it to be organised I guess...
Baulko 1 , Brumbies 3. A close game , 1 all with 5 to go and the Brumbies getting 2 late goals. Brumbies have improved a lot from last year and have picked up some good players. They play a very aggressive style of football (likely coached that way) and out-intimidated our boys with their aggressive tackling style. Their passing game was quite good. A draw in the end would have been nice , however the Brumbies played a bit better than us on this occasion. There's always next time !

After a BYE in Round 1, the Brumbies squad finally got the opportunity this weekend to put into practice everything they have been working on at training over the past few months. The boys played some great passages of play, linking up lots of passes together and being prepared to play back if that presented a better option than pressing forward. Baulko and Pendle Hill are both quality sides and the boys did well to keep their intensity going to the final whistle. Well done to all players, coaches and everyone else involved.
Baulko v Brumbies (Rd 3): 1-3 Pendle Hill v Brumbies (Rd 2): 0-3
Lidcombe defended very well with the early attacking from Rams
Well done to the boys foe there undefeated start to the season as expectations was to start this season rebuilding our team. Next week will be a big test of character for our boys against Castle Hill United as we have struggled against them over the past 3 years.
Rams 0 - Brumbies 1 Good game under very difficult windy conditions. Rams played very well but just wasn't good enough for the undefeated Brumbies. We stuck to game plan and this almost pulled off a worthy draw.I would say Brumbies knew they were in a tough game and fought hard all the way to the final whistle. Well done Rams.
