Don't want to get involved in your argument but had to comment after reading Bigmac's claim that they had dominated the game. Your first goal was a long punt into the box that was missed by everyone and sailed into the top corner. Your second goal was a great finish by your winger but it was the only shot you had all game. St Micks dominated you guys and the game should have been 10-2 if it wasn't for their poor finishing. Surely you had to notice the way your boys were time wasting at ever opportunity, I'd be grateful for the point you got because it was thoroughly undeserved
Dickson, what game were you watching? I'm not going to waste my time arguing with you, if you're going sit here and blow stuff out of your ar@&! Didn't you see the 2 saves their keeper made at full stretch! One from a free and one from a shot outside the box. That would've put us 4 0 up! The only shots St Micks had were from near halfway. Please bro, don't get on here and talk rubbish, oake will even agree with me that we dominated them. Thanks for your 5 cents worth.
Oh bigmac.....trash talk? Yes..you did beat us the first game ...I was there...but please...this is park football and we don't need to get silly. We respect all our opposition (except Wenty!) and take nothing for granted. This comp is so even you need to worry about yourselves and if you will be in the final four as everyone can beat everyone on their day. I saw your very good goalie having to leap around a bit too. If you want to get better I am happy to have an honest exchange with you, not just reading about you puffing your chest up and saying how good you are. There was a few areas your team needs to work on, and if you want I am happy to make some suggestions.
Go back through the crap you and your mate posted oake, then talk to me. If you can honestly say to me that you dominated us, and the game should've been 10 2, instead of the other way round, then I've got nothing more to say to you besides you're full of sh@$! In fact, I'm wasting too much time replying to you. A man can admit when he's wrong, a coward can run his mouth on a forum.
Strewth bigmac....settle down...I said our team respects everyone in the comp. That includes you. I didn't say we dominated you. Both sides had chances, and an uninterested spectator thought we had more chances and didn't take them. That is football. That's how it goes. People have opinions. So what? Relax - have a good time - and with a bit of luck for both of us we will meet again. I will give an example of one suggestion. The own goal came because your backs mainly just boot it out. They don't look for the pass to control it and start a new attack. They did that, and it came back, and you got pressured and they tried to boot it again and it went the wrong way. There is no insult in what I just wrote - it is just my opinion, so do me a favour and don't come back with another insult. You get what you give. Give some respect and it will come back.
Oake, like you said, it's park football. We're all here to have a laugh with our mates, play a game we enjoy, and shake hands afterwards. I was only trying to give an honest account of our match. Look forward to hopefully playing you guys again come the finals.
Pendle Hill 1 Auburn FC 2. Crazy game, Auburn controlled the first half and went 2 0 up. Second half saw an Auburn defender sent off for a hand ball in the box. Pendle Hill hit the post from the spot kick, and it was all Pendle Hill from then on. PH scored a nice header from a set piece to make it 1 2, and were awarded another penalty for a hand ball in the box, luckily, without a red this time. PH this time missed the target completely, and it was a nervous 20mins for us to hold on.
Went down and watched the Winsto derby yesterday. Winsto White had a goal disallowed early in the piece and didn't look like scoring from then on. The blacks controlled the ball and the game and lead 20 at half time. Whites pegged one back in the second half with a penalty given (I thought fairly) and it was 2-1. Then Blacks had a player sent off for swearing at a whites player, but even with 10men Blacks were by far the better team and put another one in to win 3-1.
olebear - any handball resulting in a direct free or penalty kick is deemed deliberate. If it is not deliberate it is not a penalty or free - it is an accident and you play on. If it is a handball in the penalty area and it denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goalscoring opportunity it is a send-off.
Sorry boys, brain works as well as the legs these days! I did know that but do appreciate the help all the same. Meant to say was the player deliberately stopping a goal like Harry at the World Cup. Sorry about the confusion but my question remains!
