Two years ago the clubs raised grave concerns about buying into Parramatta FC and Ladyhawks, namely the money that would be lost and the lack of expertise to run such a business and the negative impacts on GDSFA. Clubs were mostly opposed to such an adventure.
The previous committee ignored those concerns and went ahead with the deal, then most of them stood down at the following AGM.
Actually Paddlepop I hate to break your stick but you're wrong. Before throwing shite get your facts right! Two MC actually opposed the purchase!! All MC members were given the opportunity to have their say at the MC meeting, two voiced their concerns and stated their reasons and voted NO. Now when you're out voted by the rest its a done deal, hence the purchase.
As for standing down at the following AGM, your insinuation is incorrect as well. Boy you draw a long bow...
Regardless Dicky, it's ridiculous that the money of a massive number of junior players that play amatuer football is being used to fund a semi-professional club.
EVERY CLUB SHOULD KICK UP A MASSIVE STINK AND ELIMINATE THIS DRAIN ON FUNDS THAT BELONG TO CLUBS ACTUALLY INTERESTED IN THEIR OWN KIDS PLAYING FOOTBALL.
If it is all kosher than why not provide a financial report or even just some genralisations about how much money has been poored into these clubs not part of the association. While somebody's at that can we also get a number on how many players from our association play at Parramatta and what there total number of players are?
Stan and The Captain will never achieve Oko status.
